I liked the first one better. Too much CGI in the second one. I like to see the actors during a performance, not a whole bunch of makeup and computer-generated imagry.

as a pirate obsessed girl, I must say POTC 1 is a classic and is always number one. But POTC 2 is very good, so good I had to watch it 15 times in the theater on it's first week. POTC 2 is also a little more stupid. It makes jack look completely stupid, and in my case that is completely horribble. Pirates one was an experiment and was the best movie I have ever seen. The music for pirates one is truely beautiful. Pirates 2 music was less impressive. But I did enjoy the part where orlando bloom was shirt less, But yet again Davy jones and his crew were just plain stupid. In the end they tie. I bought the DVD the day after the movie was released in theaters. It was pirated .I got it in china.

I reckon they were just as good as each other but there was a bit more action in the 1st 1 but yet with the 2nd 1 the villians were better. All in all i loved both of the pirates movies

I love Pirates 1, I like the vilians better in it. Pirates 2 is however I think a little more comical....Johnny Depp is hiliarous...I love it when he say's "Why is the rum always gone!" then he stands up and walks around...staggers and then thinks about it and says..."Oh...that's why..." :) And the sword fight on the wheel was too funny... The villians in Pirates 2 were kinda dark and slimey...but still all in all I love Pirates 2 also and can wait for it to come out on DVD so I can rent it!!!

Hmmm... I like them both. Part 2 is pretty darn good for a sequal. I also like that it was a bit more edgy than Part 1.. not as happy and peachy-keen of an ending as Part 1. Hmmm... but still, Part 1 was awesome

Well, PoTC was designed to be a movie by itself; I think even the producers were surprised by how much media it got! PoTC 2 is a continuation, so, there is a story line, but it needs the third installment. I love them both, actually - and hey! They brought back all the main characters!!

I much prefer two over one! It's more wittier I think, and Johnny is just fantastic! Although he is in any movie that he does. And I think Keira is better in this movie too! I can't wait to see how three turns out!
