They did a show on the discovery channel. Basically in almost all stats a Tiger and a Lion are evenly matched. If it's a Male lion then he not only has a slight advantage but also his man provided protection. If it's a female lion then I'd say even odds.

I'd say, on average, they're even: a male lion is the same size as a male tiger, but has a main to protect it's neck, while a female lion is a little smaller with no main.
Tigers arn't more aggresive, they just seem so because they hunt solo, and so need to hunt more (because they miss more often)

I have worked with both, and I would definately say a male tiger. We have had a lot more problems with our tigers, and they are usually bigger in size and seem to be much more tempermental. Our tigers destroy things that they lions can't get through with their jaws.
As for man eating lions- there are a ton of reports in Africa.

Tigers are larger and more aggressive than lions. There are many known cases of man eating tigers, but hardly any man eating lions. I would bet on the tiger.

what number situations do i favor to respond to this question? In each and every documented wrestle between a lion and a tiger, the tiger has continually gained. 3 pit bulls or thirty; once the first 2 or 3 were killed, something else ought to scatter.
