I would love to visit Brazil! My mother immigrated to the US from there in 1958--she has lots of family still there and I would love to visit them. Until then, I have to be content in making brigadieros, visiting rodezio and having an occasional guarana! Caio!

Yes, Flávia. I was in your country for the last two World Cups: Rio (Santa Teresa) for o pentacampeão, and Iguaçu-Curitiba-São Paulo (Liberdade)-Parati-Rio (Glória) this year. My favorite memory from this year is of the nearly deserted eight-lane expressway in São Paulo during the game against Gana.
In '02, I was in a taxicab in "the wee hours" when o selecão got their first goal; luckily, the driver had a small television on the dashboard. (Better still, he stayed on the road at that moment ... and we didn't get hit by any fireworks!) During the elimination rounds, I had a Carioca girlfriend who had a reliable alarm clock. Pleasant memories.
Beijos, Flávia. (Dois, o três?)

No, I haven't, but I would love to go there someday!
And 'I'm a Stupid ******!, Brazilians would be classified as Latin Americans because they speak Portuguese. They speak Portuguese because of Portuguese colonization in the, I think it was, 1800's.

Are people from Brazil black or latino?
And why do you speak Portuguese if you are in Latin America?
