if you know for sure it was the cooling pump (aka) water pump then it won't cost an arm and a leg. epecially if you are doing it yourself. what year is the truck? if it's a fairly new one then it is a little more complicated in doing it yourself. but if you take it to a shop then you are looking at around 150-300 dollars depending on the mechanic, shop and the brand of pump . yourself... about 60-90 bucks, time, tools, and anti swearing pills. (yeah, you'll cuss.) personally i would use "airtex" it's cheap but reliable, good performance and it looks good too. it's about 61 bucks for a 2000-2006 dakota. if you got the tools, do it yourself. pretty self explainatory. take out the bolts, take off the hoses, and do the opposite to the new one. good luck

Don no wat kinda truk you got but go get a CHILTONS manual at parts store or library and buy a REBUILT, don't waste money on new, pump and save yourself a bundle. Not a big job if you have any ability at diy.
