Using y1-y2 over x1-x2 only gives me the slope, not the equation of the line.
The directions say:
1)Find the slope first using y2-y1 over x2-x1.
2) Plug in the (x) value from the first ordered pair into x and the y value from the first ordered pair into y and given slope value into m.
3) Solve the equation for (b).
4) Rewrite the equation into y=mx+b form.
I understand how to use the direction, however the slope I get is -2/17 and I don't understand how to multiply it times 6 when plugging in 6 for the x value?
