Cal Ripkin and Tony Gwynn. They are first ballot material without a doubt. McGwire is suspected of using steroids and letting him in would be like saying using them is okay and you can do it and get into the hall. i hope that is not true but it is up to the committee

Cal Ripken for sure. Gwynn maybe. McGuire, NO WAY. His records are blemished and suspicious because he used steroids. Even worse, he lied about doing so. He should never be elected to the Hall of Fame.

Chow!!

Gwynn or Ripken. Hard choice between the two. Both players were very respectful... Ripken for his faithful playing and Gwynn for his dependable batting. Both players showed excellent sportsmanship.

Gwynn and Ripken should be 1st ballot Hall of Famer's no doubt!

Big Mac on the other hand is plagued by the steroid scandal. He was named by his former teammate Jose Canseco as using steroids. Then he did not outwardly refuse to deny using them before congress when he appeared there. That does cloud things up for him, so maybe this year he does not make it.

Ripken and Gwynn definitely!

McGwire on the other hand I wouldn't just because of the steroid accusations especially during the season he broke a record.

Ripken and Gwynn without a doubt. McQuire is a huge question mark because of the steroid issue.

In the end, they are all Hall of Famers, but McGwire just doesn't match up as well as the others

lets look at some stats

Ripken: 3,184 hits, 431 HR, 2632 consecutive games, 21 year veteran (ALL 21 with the Orioles)

Gwynn: 3,141 hits, 8 time Batting Average Champion, hit .338 LIFETIME, 20 year career (ALL 20 with the Padres)

McGwire: 1,626 hits, 583 HR (7th all time), 16 year veteran (Oak/Stl), lifetime batting average .263, 1414 RBI.
