She probably just likes sucking on something. Instead of giving her a bottle, give her a pacifier. That way, she can suck on something without being overfed.

well first of all, she is not going to sleep thru the night for a while. probably not until she is about 3-4 months old. as for her crying, she may have colic, which sadly there is nothing you can really do except try to soothe her by holding her, and singing to her, doing whatever it is that soothes her. have you tried giving her a pacifier? that may help her. or playing some lullabye music, my daughter likes that. are you burping her a lot? she may be gassy. that would make sense because they feel a pain in their stomach and cant really decipher it from hunger pains yet so they try to eat to make it better. the first few months can be tough but it will get easier with time.

Well I can't stand her and the possibility of her being there for 3 weeks is nil I think! If she were to go into hospital for whatever reason she would have had to leave the baby so I don't really see anything wrong with it as long as the baby is looked after by someone else close to it. I am not defending her but merely giving my opinion!!

she might have colic, when they have pain in there belly the only thing they know is that they need to eat, and if you keep feeding her she will keep eating and the more she eats the more gas she will get, so you need to hold out for at least 2 hours before feeding her, I had to do this with my baby and it was 2 hours of non stop screaming, not because of hunger but pain, by the time he ate again he was so tired he feel asleep right after, which was a much needed break for me!!!

I think she probably has gas!!!! They want to fill there stomach because it relieves the pressure. Have you taken her to the doctor? It could be and ear infection. She'll sleep more when she gets a little older. And some babies never sleep through the night. Good luck!!!! They do get older and this will not last forever. Hang in there!!!

First and foremost, You can't make her sleep more at night. And if she is still hungry (Which I'm assuming because she stops when she's fed) Keep feeding her. Or raise the ounces more. Whatever you do, DON'T put cereal in her bottle, it can cause her to choke! Good Luck!

Don't try water. It's too thin for them to drink at such a young age. Your baby would choke! Try different things weither it's rocking her or what. My son had colic and he did the same thing. The only thing that helped was laying him beside me and he would go to sleep. good Luck.

I would keep a watch on the over feeding the baby because sometimes if you over feed it gives them gas and makes the crying worse!!!!
Try to console her and give her a pacifier and rock her ,walk the floor with her,,,whatever it takes and hang in there!!!!!
God Bless you and Good Luck!!

She could be caulic. Have you tried a pacafier? You can't make her sleep more than she's willing to. If you are concerned about her gaining too much weight from possible excessive bottle feeding, then take her to her pediatrician.

Does your baby have gas?? I would try to give your baby Mylicon drop to see if that helps. Dont worry your baby will stop eating when it is full.. Crying means a few things...wet diaper / hungry / tired / gas..or just wants to be held. You could also try to swaddle the baby too. Good-Luck!!
