Whats the matter.....don't like a smart black woman?
because she stalled for almost a month (perhaps a little more) while Lebanon was getting bombed by Israel. Diplomacy could of came sooner and many lives would hve been saved if United States acted sooner rather than let Israel do he damage that they wanted to incur in Lenbanon.
Was Lebanon not given a chance to return the Israeli soldiers they kidnapped. Lebanon brought the @ss whipping on themselves!

Well her being person of the year is better than naming you person of the year! Who did you have in mind? Saddam Hussein?
Oh and before you go talking about Israel bombing Lebanon you might want to realize that Hezbola (in Lebanon) fired rockets on Israel FIRST then hides amid the general population of Lebanon using them as human shields against retaliatory attack!!
And as for your comment about "if the United States acted sooner" ... If they did then you would be complaining that the US killed some people when they tried and then say that they shouldn't be doing anything to start with.

The US has always yielded to the interests of Israel...Condi does what she's told, like the rest of this administration. Nobody associated with the White House should be person of the Year!

I don't agree at all with your reasoning, but ultimatly I would agree with your statement that she does not. She's a pawn, just like most people in politics are. Pawn of an ideal. Since government has become a popularity contest, to win and establish your rule, you must play the popular card. She's a republican answer to a nancy pelosi, or hillary clinton. She's a vote getter, little more.

Shrubby and Hitler has also been voted person of the year by Time. To be honest, nobody in US politics today deserves that award, especially from the White House.

For Time Magazine, that means it only matters to those who read Time Magazine. Personally, she's not person of the year in my book.

No I think she got her job by being Bush's lap poodle. She is just another of the disappointments in our current Govt. Bush's policy is to do just what you described - allowing disorder to continue while innocents are systematically killed. Do you think he cares, I don't.
