In life there are many difficulties. Time management is one of them. Your teacher is correct. Homework should come first but, (there will always be a but no matter the situation), It is possible to do both while the light is out, and during the winter time when the light is even more limited.
Try this.
When you go home, separate your homework (called prioritizing). Put them in Hard/Difficult pile, medium/Research needed pile, and the easy pile. (mind you that this does not include due dates. this is assuming everything is due the next day)
Work on the Hard/difficult pile when there may be someone who already knows is available to help you if you need it. If there is someone available when you get home. Great! Get that one out of the way first.
If there is anything in your Medium/Research pile then organize the research so you know what you will need to accomplish this.
While there is still light, go practice for a half-hour to an hour.
Then it's either dinner time or there is time to go back to the rest of your homework.
I found that if I broke up my homework with play/practice, I was able to complete the homework, get in play time, have family dinner and have time for some sort of recreation (me time).
That made me not only a better student, but a better person, generally, because I was more relaxed, attentive and active.
See if it works for you as it did for me.

I think that you should practice soccer first for at least 30 to 45 minutes. Then go in the house make yourself a snack and relax for about 15 minutes. You will be relaxed and can probably concentrate better on your homework. That is what used to work for me.

Ok take a few deep breaths and clear your mind. yes school is more important. Alls you have to do is think, how can i make it so that i have more time for homework, and still time for practice. I guess it depends, on your teacher, does he alow you to work on HW after a lesson and you have free time? Try and get as much HW as you can done at school. and the next time you miss practice go on the weekend with someone and you can practice with them. Possibly even get half you HW done then leave for practice and at night finish the rest.

You practice after your homework is done...or practice for 30 minutes after you get home then do homework..You can't practice in the dark and you can do your homework in your room.

Tell your teacher that you're on a soccer team and then she might understand of what you are talking about.
