Never pay to become a Mystery Shopper Mystery Shopper NEVER!

You have to register on the website of each Mystery Shopping Company that interests you. In the beginning start with one or two.

I suggest you register with one MS company for now, until you get the hang of MS'ing.

Here is a list of MS companies:

For more info on MSing go to: mysteryshop.org (the organization that regulates the Mystery Shopping Industry.)

When you register on a MS site, you must give your name, address, phone number and SocSecNbr and whatever other info is requested.

Most Mystery Shops pay $3.00 per shop. Some pay more if it is a complex shop. You must write well. It helps if you are familiar with an Excel Spreadsheet as sometimes you must complete your MS report on Excel, not often, but sometimes. Sometimes you keep the product you shop for. Free dinner if it's a restaurant/diner/fast-food shop.

As a new Shopper it may take some time before you are assigned a shop. Current and best shoppers get preferences for shops.

If you apply for a shop, it does not mean you will get it, especially new shoppers. You can apply for an Amusement Shop or store shop. Unless you have worked for a reasonable amount of time with the shop company, you will not be assigned, but, hang in there.

Important! Always submit your MS report on-time! It shows the Schedulers that you are serious about the industry, and may put you ahead of others shoppers, when shops are assigned. I've done

you end up taking assignments to whomever the agency represents, there is little choice in where you shop or even when. There are some free dinners to be had out there, I just ate a 3 course meal with a beer at Longhorn steakhouse for free last month. Check out Focusonservice.com. you may have to pay to sign up for the list of shop sites but you can get the dough back pretty easily if you complete a few assignments.
