I'm looking for a TCM to replace the one I have. The car still runs, but it's in sports drive all the time. But I've replaced the battery recently, and a week later it died on me again. I'm thinking it's unrelated, like a bad battery cable. Could the bad TCM be causing the battery to die?

^^ Why do you even answer if you have nothing helpful to say? The TCM or TCU is the Transmission Control Module/Unit. This person's car is an automatic. Their problem is that instead of the transmission shifting normally, it shifts at higher RPM because it is in sports mode. This could be fun on the highway, but it consumes more fuel. Sorry I cant help you with that one...

But it sounds like you have a parasitic drain on the battery. Usually, it is a bad ground that has corroded over time. But it could be your alternator that isnt holding a charge. The easiest thing to do is go to a place like Auto Zone and let them test for a drain. I believe it is free.
