Right now my pet peeve is a neighbor accross the street who runs a gasoline or fuel-oil powered generator 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
It is very loud, and sounds like he is cutting his grass with a power lawn mower 24 hours a day.
I value the peace and silence of this sleepy little neighborhood, and it is GONE. :-((

Animals dressed as humans, just kidding!
My pet peeve is people who lie, if we all tell the truth, trusting people would be a lot easier. Also it bugs me when people sing along to songs on the radio, loudly. And when a person thinks they are having a phone conversation with you, when really they are just talking to themselves. I have many pet peeves because I get annoyed really easily.

The fact that so many people over time used the imaginary term "orientated" when the real word was "oriented" that Oxford English Dictionary now includes "orientated" as an actual word.

Crappy transport links, and a lack of adequate information to assist a journey, from England to the rest of Europe.
My boyfriend is currently stranded in London when he needs to be in the Netherlands. Arrrgh! I'm so very cross that he has to 'rough it' when he could be home with me...

Loud cell phone talkers in public places -- it's just rude and obnoxious.
or
Wearing shoes in the house -- it's dirty! Imagine all of that street-funk on the bottoms of your shoes, polluting the inner sanctum where my bare feet trod!
or
That open-mouthed chewing that someone mentioned earlier -- it's purely disgusting.
or, my final one for now...
Bad smells, especially badly smelling people -- it's rude, obnoxious, disgusting and offensive.
Thanks. And, thanks for filling the ice tray with water after using the last of the cubes -- you're a peach.

When people find out something that really bugs you, so they do it constantly--this makes it very hard to trust them!
People who talk when their mouth is full, and not just making conversation, but specifically when they say "Mmm, this is delicious". Sounds nasty when they still have it in their mouths. Yuch.

It's a tie for first place: (1) Someone to lie to me. If I don't do it, I don't want it done. (2) Someone to ask the same thing over and over. You KNOW by their voice (if you can't see them) or by their voice and body action if you can that they understand what you're saying/explaining. It's annoying to be done that way---that's why I can't stand it.

People smacking on gum or chewing with their mouths open. It's just yucky to hear what goes on during the digestive process.

People who act like they know everything. It makes me so happy when someone says something and they act like they can't possibly be wrong, and then you find out they were in fact wrong, the look on their face is priceless

When people feel the need to describe someone by using sking color only when that skin color is differrent from their own. Why? Because to me, it still show undertones of racism. We all bleed red.
