I currently have my new baby corn snake in a 10 gallon tank. she is only about 10 inches long and the width of a pencil, and looks lost in a 10 gal now. How big a tank does she need and when should I move her to a bigger one? Also, how old is she?

Well i cant tell you how old the snake is you would have to go to a pro for that around ur neighborhood and they will tell u how old it is and if it is a female or male becuz no one nos if snakes are males or females untill they are 5 years old at least of that age!!!
But if u have it the length of a pencil then it is perfectily fine in a 10 gallon tank but in about a month or 2 maybe 3 u should by a bigger thank!!!!

The snake is probably over a year old but don't quote me on that. Put some more rocks in the tank that are a color that she will contrast against so that you can see her more easily-- just don't put so many rocks that it will make it easy for her to get out of the tank.

She won't need a bigger tank for awhile, but keep an eye on her growth. If you see that she can reach up to the top of the tank and pry against the lid with her nose, then it's probably time for a new one.

Well, snakes do like cool territory.
Maybe not cool, but they like to have a little piece of wood that they go under, an big water bowl, some greenery, some stones, maybe one of those cool things u get from the pet shop that he can entangle himself in.
If u can fit all those things and a bit more space, that should be good.
I don't know how big ten gallons is, but it sounds good.

enough room for the substrate, water dish (big enough for it to soak in if it wants) and a hide.
