ok first and foremost im not racist but i have a few problems with some things. why is it if a white guy says the word ni gger or ni gga it's bad but if a black guys says cracker on a comedy show it's funny and everyone laughs but if a white comedian ever said the wor Ni gga he would be fired or worse. whats fair is fair guys.

Well you know, life isn't fair anyway, which is how all of the hatred and slurs started.
So to make it simpler, so no one's brain explodes considering the why's and why not's of it all, when one person's ignorance shouldn't and won't change the world, just chalk it up to:

Majority rule with minority rights.

When the world is equal in numbers and cultures and all else that is unequal, then either all this yah-yahing with go away by itself, or else, we'll all stand on our borders and draw lines in the sand and talk about each other's mothers. Is that juvenile enough for you or do you want to continue the debate over something that should only matter to the small minded?

Weellllll....lets go back. The n word is a derogatory term that ignorant whites use to make blacks feel inferior. If you review your history, you'll know the struggle and hardship African Americans had to go through because of the color of our skin. Therefore you can't expect African Americans to be ok with it because white people weren't the ones that was targeted for hatred/abuse/violence,etc. So it is not fair. You need to look at the bigger picture not some comedy show.

Come on, you're kidding right? I'm guessing you're about 16 years old and you pretty much missed the days of America shamefully targeting one group of it's very own citizens with hatred and discrimination? Read your history... we have many years to go still for making up the terrible things done to African Americans (slavery, beatings, lynchings, discrimination, intimidation...) And that one word represents the very worst of everything that occurred. It should be locked in a vault and NEVER used (by any human being). Professional comedians should know how to handle hecklers in the crowd... otherwise they should get out of the business.

Im so mixed and i can still see your point i am black,puerto rican.native american,and brazalian. I could say it is because of slavery but i guess its just that the word ni gga means ignorant now not black slave. its kind of like when a person called me a wet back that is considered an insult to spanish people but i just laughed it off and when i told someone i was native american they started praying and saying i needed christ but im already a christian its just stereotypes. i choose not to use an of these racial slurs.

How many times are people going to post questions like this on here. It's idiotic for anyone to use such hateful words, blacks, whites, mexicans, and all other races and creeds. And rappers and other blacks using the word are just as lame as the word is.

i totally agree. its like whites are over compensating. if you think about it, it relates to affirmative action. (i think that's what its called). the whites seem to be giving the country to the minorities, and soon the whites will be the minority.
