We've heard "Go Big, Go Long, Go Home." What about Go Sunni or Go Shia?

We already did once, and are doing it again. We chose Saddam once, and now we are on the side of disorder. That has been the plan from the start. While there is disorder and chaos, the plunder of Iraq has gone on famously, to the tune of billions of dollars both from Iraq and the US Treasury.

Isnt it Shiite not Shia?
And the US HAVE chosen the Shiite side. All they have done is put the other faction in power, just like in Afghanistan

They have chosen a side (theirs). They will follow the old British maxim of "Divide and Conquer". Now that the perception of civil war is there - they will divide the coutry into 3 parts -Sunni, Shia, and Kurdish. They will all hate each other and allow the US to cart of all the oil it pump out.

I think you are right and I have always thought along those lines myself. It should've been done long ago......the problem now is that if we choose the sunni we're going to have to fight Iran probably and if we choose the shitte we support Iran

I don't think we should. I support our troops, I have family fighting over there for our freedom. I think we should protect. Why choose a side when you could make so many more people happy by protecting all.
