What does it stand for? I know the GameCube part, but what does the N part stand for? Nintendo? SO then it is GameCube: Nintendo?? Please give real answers.

All systems so far have been abbreviated to 3 characters.

GCN - Gamecube (nintendo)
XBX - X box
PS2 - Playstation 2
PSX or PS1 - playstation 1
N64 - nintendo 64
360 - xbox 360
etc

Maybe it got GCN because of N64... not sure but that's the best i can come up with =)

Yeah it really is GameCube Nintendo. I think they just like 3 letter combinations. It is like when they had the PSX for Playstation. I mean really what does the X need to be there for.

Gamecube Nintendo or Nintendo Gamecube if you prefer.

I've only been to a few places that calls it that. Most places just say GC.I believe it's because it looks to similar GBC (gameboy color).
