I don't feel good at all. I've been really out of it for the last few days, and have been having really bad headaches, sometimes almost bordering on migrains. I have strange aches and am generally feeling sick and out of it. For the last day or two I've had kinda severe stomach pain- kind of like period cramping, but a lot a lot worse than I've ever had it. I feel really pukey and gross, and this morning I got my period. Is this feeling normal? Oh, I've had a fever off and on today around 99-100 degrees. Is this my period, or is it a bug. I think it's my period. If it is, does anyone have any advice to relieve period cramps.

Oh- I'm 13, I've had my period since I was 11, and started getting cramps when I was 12 1/2

please help me and i will be forever grateful

geez, i'm only 13...no i've never had sex! i looked it up online and the fever could potentially just be body fluctuation if the other stuff is right for periods. is it?

You probably have a bug along with your period. You are more apt to pick up a bug just before (I don't know why). Take some Tylenol for the headache, and 1 loperamide (immodium, or generic) for the cramps, trust me it works!

try something very simple and natural- a cup of hot mint tea or lime tea with lemon, a piece of cloth with medicinal alcohol on your belly and a 2-hour nap on the belly if you can. actually find a position that's most comfortable for you. the tea and the alcohol will induce sleep anyway and will numb the pain. when you wake up you'll feel ok.
also avoid taking long baths, just showers and not hot ones. don't exercise a lot and avoid much physical effort. eat plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables.
as for the fever, you should know that during these periods the body has a different temperature-usually hotter than normal, so don't worry too much. anyway, the remedy i suggested is also good for a cold so it will help this too.
this is what i used to do in my teens when i had to face the same problem and it worked well. take care and good luck.

I think maybe you should rest. I remember when I used to be just like you, and even so, I would take everything that I could take. I even came almost so close of ODing once because I was in so much pain, but I did went to the doctor and she told me to rest for a while. Just stay in bed, if you can, and eat soft gentle foods. And don't forget a fan. it will cool ya down.

To help relieve period cramp pains you an get a heating pad and lay on it. You can also get into the shower and let hot water hit close to your "Unmentionables". You should take an ibuprofen or aspirin also.

You shouldn't have a fever due to your period. If you think you have a cold, that could be it, but if you don't think you have a cold, you need to see a doctor.

If you've had unprotected sex, fever can be a symptom of pelvic inflammatory disease meaning whatever STD (sexually transmitted disease) you picked up is infecting your whole pelvic area. It WILL NOT GO AWAY BY ITSELF BUT GET WORSE WITHOUT MEDICAL HELP.
