Indefinitely ... if you loose the documents however and need these at a later point, you can request the copies from the court where you filed for the divorce.

Forever. If you ever plan to get married again, you will need a copy. Remember, when you got your marriage license? They ask if you have ever been married before. Then they ask for a copy to make sure you are really divorced.

I would frame that baby if there is another reason why you don't want them closeby put them in a safety deposit box.
