The Coven at the Theatre De' Vampyres had rules.

1. You do not kill another vampire without the leader's permission.

2. You do not make a child a vampire, it will never grow up and have the strength of an adult.

Because of this the coven killed Claudia and the woman with her, after finding out that Le'stat was still alive. He did not attempt to stop them, as he was still in love with the coven's leader, Armand. The coven took Claudia and the woman while they had Louis imprisoned, so he could not stop them from doing it.

They killed her for what she did to Lestat. the Old vampire made Lestat and did not take kindly to her having him drink dead blood. So, he roasted her alive.

She was an abomination. They are not allowed to make children and they were angry that Lestat made her. They wanted Louis and had to get rid of his "daughter" before he would submit to them.

Of course it all backfired on them!
