did they really?! i was hoping he'd go to seattle cuz im a mariners fan, but i do think that he is worth that money. the market is really bad for starting pitchers and i think that he's the 3rd best who were available behind zito and matazsdgag-whatever
if healthy with schmidt the cubs rotation would be
1.Zambrano 2. Prior 3.Schmidt 4.Wood 5. Hill
that looks like a world series team to me

Why not!!! After a great off-season the Cubs have been having why not go after a top-line starter. THey need it. They are definetly serious about playoff contention this year so I wouldn't be surprised if Schmidt signs with Cubs. I would after all those great changes.

for the cubs he is definitely worth that much. they've had trouble keeping Wood and Prior healthy so a good consistantly healthy start like schmidt is great for them. I would like to see the cubs go after Zito though.

Mike Schmidt was a good one....but he's pretty old...they should pass. Besides they have Ramirez at 3rd.
