There are trade and currency benefits. Goods and people move across borders throughout the EU very easily. The EU can collectively vote in the UN, thereby strengthening their global voice.

Of course, you also submit yourself to rulings by the EU Court of Justice.

Poorer countries gain more than richer countries. It The union tries to balance things out.

In my eyes it is like a Robin Hood kind of thing. Steal from the richer countries and Give to the poorer countries.

first answer is bigger market, market and market. second answer is cheaper by the dozen, i.e. with a larger population to communicate and sell to -- you have cheaper products to produce. third, standardization -- so far -- umpteen milk cartons and bottles --with unity you will reduce to one -- standardization. fourth-- most of the transport companies go one way nowadays...they just deliver or pick up and return empty handed, because traffic and transport are nationalized in favor of locals. with unity -- transportation will be two way and more economic. voila. hope it helps, as the best.
