Hi! I have identical twins so I hear these types of questions alot. Here are some facts:
1. Identical twins (or identical triplets) are from one fertilized egg that splits randomly. All pregnancies have a 1 in 250 chance of being identical twins. It's not influenced by family history, age, ethnicity, fertility drugs, etc.
2. Fraternal twins or triplets occur when the female produces more than one egg and all are fertilized.
3. Your family history is relevant as long as the twins/triplets in your family ARE NOT identical and ARE NOT due to the use of fertility drugs. Family history of twins increases your chance of twins but does not guarantee that you will have multiples. (This is why there is a myth about skipping generations.)
4. If you are a spontaneous fraternal twin/triplet or your mother/grandmother is then you have a very increased chance of twins. Other things that increase your chances are age (women over 45 have a 17% chance), ethnicity (more common in african americans, less common in asians and hispanics), fertility treatments, and high number of pregnancies.
Hope this helps!

there's always the possibility... but you could also end up with just one baby. Goodluck! 4 would definitely be a couple of handfuls! I have a friend whose brother and his wife is having triplets. I had one myself, and wow, I couldn't imagine all that work of taking care of more! Twins wouldn't be as bad, but more than you can hold would be tough, so hopefully your family can help out if that's the case! :)

Why no longer purely concentration on besides the actuality that you're blessed with, if that is one baby then you fairly grants that child so much better of a at the same time as than is accessible with better than one baby no longer in straight forward words that the hazards of having better than one at a unmarried being pregnant can boost the hazards of issues for mum and little ones. As a mum of twins I in straight forward words recognize those negative aspects too properly fortuitously my little ones fought puzzling and a re now massive wholesome 10 12 months olds yet decrease back in the early days it change right into a universal conflict no matter if or not they could live on

There are lots of twins in my family. But I didn't have a multiple birth. Just the one beautiful baby girl who is the equivalent of about 10 babies at times LOL!
Good luck and congratulations to you :)

I've never had any childred but I've heard and read that twins skip a generation so you might not have to worry. Both of grandmothers were twins but my parents didn't have any. My sister, on the other hand, had twins. But genetics......you just cant tell.

I can't tell exactly what your asking, but okay!
I had twin girls, vaginally, with no pain meds.
My sister had Twin boys, via c-section.
My neighbor had Triplets, and her sister had Quadruplets.
I have five kids so far.
Pregnant due in December 06 with a boy!

I've always liked triplets... but I think twins are cool, too. I've always wanted to be a twin...

I have heard that it skips generations, but things do happen. My grandfather on my dad's side was a twin, and I have been pregnant with twins. Good luck with everything.
