k i had my last period on may 26th and it only lasted for 3 days, when it usually lasts for 4 to 5 days my dr thinks i ovulated on june 8th or 9th. but every time i have gone in to get measured she says im measuring about two weeks farther along then i am. i had a dr appt yesterday and she said i'm measuring in at 32 weeks but i'm only 27 weeks the baby is face dow. so is there any chance i might be a few weeks farther along? my dr is "possitive that i'm only 27 weeks" but i really feel i could be farther along plus she told me sperm can only servive in fertile cervical mucus for 24hrs and i know that isn't true so can i believe what she says?

Sperm can actually survive for 3-5 days in the right conditions. I would go with what she says and relax. Either way your baby is gonna come when he is good and ready. The doctors were right on with both my pregnancies but they said my step mom was 1 month behind what she thought too and she ended up being right. My sister was born at what the doctors thought was 35 weeks but she weighed 9 lbs 3 oz and was completely healthy.... like I said relax and enjoy the last stretch of your pregnancy. Good Luck!!

In customary calendar months you're 6 & a million/4 months out of 9. All you may want to do is divide your # weeks through 4.33 because there are 4.33 weeks in the conventional month. some human beings positioned in straight forward words 4 weeks in a month, yet do not pay interest to them. that would advise that we are pregnant for 10 months because 4x10=40. Who should be pregnant for 10 months, lol?

You may definitely be farther along than what your doctor thinks. No one is absolutely positive exactly how far along someone is. Babies grow at different rates and do different things either faster or slower than others may. The only thing I suggest is to just have everything ready incase you deliver early. Don't worry about it but be prepared.

sperm does only survive about 24 hours according to my fertility doctor as well. It took my husband and I 1 1/2 years to conceive. Have you had an ultrasound? That usually dates you more accurately then just going by your LMP.

I would go with what she says--- sperm CAN survive in cervical mucous for awhile. Your period could have been implantation bleeding, not all of us get pregnant when during ovulation.

my son measured 34 weeks when I was only 30 weeks, he was born at 35 weeks and weighed 5pds 8 oz. So he was only 30 weeks at the time they said he was 34 weeks

I've heard that if you have a blood test done at the doctors office that they will mesure the hormones in your system and go by that for how far along you are. I guess it is really acurate!

well yes and no...... sperm lives longer then that....... one your baby could be bigger at that stage then most....... or yes you could be further along if you are unsure about it you could also get a second opinion by another doctor........ Just to make sure......
