There are so many era's that would be extraordinary to be part of, if only for a day. But I think the future is probably got to be the most enticing era for me. To be able to see in 1 or 2 centuries how the people of the future looked back on us (if the human race survives thats is) whether the changes we have made to this planet were a doomed attempt to put right our wrongs, or indeed whether we learnt our lessons and changed future history. But perhaps maybe its best left that we just live our own lives and dream.....

I would like to go to the Victorian era when things started to changed dramatically and have remained right up until this century.
To see Queen Victoria's reign the introduction of the railways by Brunel and the advancement in medicine from Curie and Flemming.

The down side would be the poverty and the conditions also London had the grim no go areas eek.

To see the London Docks before they disappeared and to research Charles Dickens first hand.

I would like to go back to 9th Century Scotland to see Kenneth McAlpine crowned King of Scotland "Aird Righ".

I would then like to fast forward to the 13th and 14th centuries to see my historical favourites Wallace and Bruce.

I would then like to forward again to 1914 to the beginning of the Great War to get an eagle eyed view of the great battlefields and try to understand why the Generals on both sides got things so wrong which resulted in millions of young men and boys dying.

i'd go to the ancient egyptian era and learn first hand about their lifestyle, then i'd go to the roman era find out about their lifestyle then i'd do the same with the ancient greeks too, all that knowledge and culture they gained lost over the centuries that we're only just beginning to re-discover, it's all just so amazing that it would be gould to learn first hand, instead of just trying to get lucky in finding odd bits of history though archeological digs.

I would like to go back to the roaring twenties when my gran was young and meet all the people she talked about and join in all the fun they had.
I did have quite a bit of fun in the 60s myself.
I have no wish to go back to far as I would most probably of been a surf or slave of servant not much hope of being one of the ruling class.

I would like to go back to the Salem witch trials of 1692. The mass hysteria that surrounded witchcraft and possible witches was just amazing. Apparantly, even a dog was accused of witchcraft because it was thought to be giving someone the evil eye. Just crazy!
