go to the ATI (AMD) support web page (
http://ati.amd.com/online/customercareportal/radeon.html )
in the upper left corner in [Search Words], enter AGP and click GO
the 1st entry should read «737-18872: ATI AGP Graphics Cards - AGP Compliance Details» )x can't copy the link, it's session bound... x(
the X1300 isn't listed in the table, but it's a card as described in figures G, H and I (scroll to the bottom); your MoBo should be in situation H.
even though the HardWare may match, you may want to check on Google or so whether entering the model of your motherboard and X1300 returns a lot of posts on forums, where ppl complain about problems / incompatibilities / aso.

If I'm not mistaken... an agp 8x card will roll back to 4x when put in a 4x slot.

I had an geforce fx 5200 with 128mb ram for some days, runs at 4x velocity cuz my gadget replaced into slow returned then(athlon 800mhz) they'll artwork only at 4x velocity or time to get a sparkling mobo wth pci exhibit.
