All three are the major rivers for their continents.

Amazon drains large area of South America and is the longest on the continent. Deep (and wide) enough to act as travel route from sea to deep into the continental interior.

Mississippi drains large area of North America and is the longest on the continent. Deep (and wide) enough to act as travel route from sea to deep into the continental interior.

Nile drains large are of Africa and is the longest on the continent (and at the present time, in the world). Deep (and wide) enough to act as travel route from sea to deep into the continental interior.

They run rather slowly once the water has accumulated down the steeper parts of the water catchment area

Flooding is common.

They are transportation ways for boat traffic. Many years ago ( and still in some places today) water ways are the only 'roads' in that area, (esp. Amazon)

Hydro electric power is made by the fall of the water.
