A good Craftsman table saw with cast iron wings. <$400
A Hitachi 18v cordless impact wrench <$300
A Dewalt 18v cordless drill / hammer drill >$300
A Craftsman belt sander >$200 Get the best !
A Porter Cable 3h.p. plunge router <$300

What a lucky husband, glad my wife saw this. The table saw requires quite a bit of room. The impact wrench requires sockets. The drill requires bits. The belt sander requires sand paper. The router requires bits.

air compressor, and a 16 Gage brad nailer. Get one that will let him use from 3/4" to 2 1/2" brads. Any brand will do, and keep the receipt

Table saw? It sounds like your husband can cut and take apart almost everything. Have you thought about maybe a screw gun, drill, or hammer? If he is really into construction, you should get him a shop vacc if he doesnt have one yet. It makes life a lot easier than having to sweep.

I try not to make a habbit of recommending any particular brand or retailer, etc.

However, DeWalt 18 volt cordless drills rock.
