I'd like to trim my bikini line up a bit. But I get bad razor burn whether I shave or wax. And I don't want to pay for a professional job. Any tips for my sensitve skin?

Trim the longer hair with scissors first then soak in the tub for atleast 10 min. to soften the hair then take a new razor(I recommend intuition it's the bomb!,no shave crm or gels needed)shave in downward strokes so as not to go against the grain (so to speak).shaving up causes ingrown hair and irritation.Afterwards(this is gonna sound strange) but I apply a deodarant for sensitive skin(I recommend Dove)in the same downward motion. This works for me. Hope it works for u.

i have this problem too. it hurts and it just not the sexiest thing to see. well i wait about a week till my hair is grown about 1/4th of an inch then i take a new razor and i go over the area about 2 times. you dont want to push too hard or go over ther area your shaving to many times because that takes off the layers of skin and when your legs rub together it causes bumps. When you are done shaving put coco butter on the area. coco butter is a very good moistrarizer and it keeps me from having bumps. Also you are going tpo want to try a differant razor. I love the Gellet Fusion it works very well worth the 8 dollars i paid for it. well i hape you have a happy shaveing... lol oh and dont use soap yous shaving gel or cream.

I used to get bad razor burn as well when i would shave but after doing it for awhile it doesnt happen as much. Ive never waxed so i wouldnt be able to help you there but, stores carry shave cream specifically for underarms and other sensitive areas so you might be able to try that out.

To me the most important thing is to use cool water which shrinks the pores while warm or hot water enlarges them causing the razor to nick them. You might also want to try a product called bikini zone. It really helps in minimizing the razor burn.

Trim the hair a little bit, put baby powder on it and then wax it. After you have waxed it put some lotion on it that is paticular to sensative skin. That is what I did and it worked great. They also do that at professional places that is where I got the idea from.

I have to say that I don't shave OR wax, the only thing that works for me is trimming it very, very short that way nothing feels different and nothing will be "peeking out" of that 60$ bikini!!

When shaving be lathered in soap as much as possible...do this when you have already been in the shower a while..then go with the grain not against it. Also use a very good razor. Be careful. Or just use Nair. Good Luck

There are special bikini razors you can get at any drug store. They are about 6 inches long, very thin, and have an angled head...and they work! The cost is about $10-$15.

Try the tips others gave- if they don't help, then maybe your skin is too sensitive for any razor. In this case, there is a wide line of hair removal creams that you should try (I know, not the sexiest, but if they work, then go with it!)

there is a small beard trimmer that works fine (Remington titanium). I shave my chest hair so I get an even tan at the start of summer. Use the trimmer to whack down the long hair and the foil shaver on the stubble.
