For the same reason they don't keep one for miscarriages. They are as preventable as abortions but are never discussed. Miscarriages can easily be prevented with prenatal care for women, but as conservatives will not allow any funding for this, poor women do not receive it. More babies are lost by far from miscarriages than from abortions. If those that say they are pro-life would put their money where their mouth is, both problems would be greatly reduced. I guess it depends on whose ox is being gored.

Perhaps because abortion is LEGAL in most states. Why should the press care when people like you seem to keep an eye on everything & everyone else. The rest of the world has to watch out for the abortion clinic bombers & finatics that have their noses where they don't do anyone any good. Just imagine what kind of choas our system would be in with an additional 40 million putting stress on the already stressed out economy. Get real. We are at WAR & we have bigger things to deal with at the moment, or haven't you noticed???

i just answered a question relating to abortion. here it was:

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AsesqPtbccvRz58gMfn0WXHsy6IX?qid=20061128103254AAVduKT

the main excerpts would be:

...and ill just add this cuz its where this usually goes. if a pro choice woman does act irresponsibly and gets pregnant, what do you say she should do then? should she have the baby and keep it and raise it even though she doesnt want it? what if shes terribly unfit as a mother, i mean downright f'ed up, what kind of life would the child have then?

and as far as putting it up for adoption, what if it doesnt get adopted, or is adopted by bad people? there are already way too many kids living in orphanages. and lastly but not leastly, what have YOU ever done to help these orphans? adopted one, cared for one, given them anything ever?

believe it or not, im against abortion...

So the media rightly so will not placate a certain fringes wish? Because these our individual choices in spite of your desire to interfere with a woman's body and her personal decisions.

The only problem with that is you have to be alive, aware and breathing in order to be killed.

Put whatever spin you want to on it, but a baby is a baby.

I'm pro-choice, but I don't believe it should be used as birth control. People using it as such should be spayed like a dog.

There is an average of 3500 babies murdered daily via ABORTION. The libs can spin it anyway they want, but it's murder and all involved with it will pay for it eventually.

its_me_cheeky_dee:
Its not judgement its a statement fact of the physical death of an unborn child. The death initiated by an unnatural cause and therefore murder, sad to say legal murder but none the less it is what it is murder.
