It depends on where the slice is.

It is inhumane to decapitate anyone from any other position on the neck other than from spinal cord to the front.

When you slice from the sides or the front to the back where the cord is, the person or animal suffers pain and misery. That is because they will feel the slice and the sawing back and forth, but if they are cut from the spinal cord straight through without sawing, there will be less pain. Think of the guillotine, head sliced off from back of neck, then head dropped into basket.

There are some that suggest you remain conscious for 15-20 seconds after being beheaded. I'm sure it all depends on the method of decapitation. A swift beheading probably causes little to no pain whereas a long, drawn out beheading with a knife is probably a little uncomforable.

it isn't conventional (because the victims of beheading can't rather provide comments contained in the matter) yet there have been comments after guillotine executions, which decrease the neck very instantly and cleanly, the position the sufferer nonetheless has some eye circulation or perhaps tries to speak. at the same time as that's plausible that there is a few understanding after a beheading if there is not a lot marvel to the mind, it ought to absolutely be some seconds earlier the sufferer loses understanding from the unexpected lack of cerebral blood stress.

Do you sincerely want to know, or are you just being stulpd? I lean toward the latter, but just in case you are sincere..do a web search. People have actually lived through attempted decapitations.

Depends on the method. Guillotine is pretty painless. Sword or Axe could be pretty painful, and penknife or saw really painful.

It's not so bad once you've done it three or four times. I advise using a pillow though or the "thunk" might wake up the neighbors.

No first accounts available, all that went through that experience have not been able to comment.

Seeing as how no one lives through that, I'd say there's no documented evidence of how it feels.

Well, I can't exactly speak from personal experience, but I'm gonna have to guess that it doesn't feel very good.
