Just do this one step at a time, converting each number to the one we want. Note that more workers <-> less days, more workers <-> more houses, more days <-> more houses.
4 workers - 3 days - 2 houses
(multiply workers by 3/4; thus divide days by 3/4)
3 workers - 4 days - 2 houses
(multiply houses by 5/2; thus multiply days by 5/2)
3 workers - 10 days - 5 houses.
So 10 days.
All you have to do is know which one goes up when another one goes down; then just take a pair of variables, and either divide or multiply as appropriate.

each worker put in 18 hours
36 hours/ house times 5 houses is 180 hours
180 hours for 5 houses
each worker puts in 18 hours
18 hours divided by 180 is 10
