Wiley coyote chased the roadrunner becuase he was in the middle of the desert and was to stupid to go somewhere to have a dinner. Plus ACME was probably paying him to buy their stuff to advretise it. He could also just hate the roadrunner and want to kill him for something the roadrunner did to him like all the times the roadrunner got Wiley hurt.

Good question. Maybe the ongoing conflict between the coyote and roadrunner is merely a coverup for the cartoon's real aim: Advertising ACME.

Wile E. Coyote was never about him catching his dinner..it was about him getting the elusive RoadRunner, a critter that outsmarted him every time because of his backfired attempts.
Thats like asking why Elmer Fudd never shot Bugs right off the bat, because then there'd be no cartoon.
But, Wile (as his friends called him) would say it wasn't even about eating the Road Runner. He was a super-genius, it was about him engineering alternate ways to catch him.

chinese resturant didn't deliver. But acme did. mail order catalogs from acme didn't have dinner avaiable. Have you ever tried to have a pizza delivered in the desert? they can not even find a house next door.

Besides, he didn't really have the money for all that crap. He just sent away for it and told them to bill him later. You know, GOOD LUCK trying to collect from a coyote!!!

Very good question! I think it was more than dinner but the challenge for him...he made the mistake of letting his pride get the better of him...sounds like some people I know! LOL
