there was one other previous case....what do you think should happen...life in prison...I'm sure there had to be drugs involved cuz no one in their right mind would do such a thing....how do we prevent copy cats.....it would never occur in my mind that this could be humanly possible any thoughts or comments...

I saw it too and I think they should find an oven or a big enough microwave and do the same thing to her. Mothers who drown their children should be drowned too. I am not the judge but in my opinion that is what I think ought to be done.

That is so utterly incomprehensible! How disturbing. I read the other day that a man was arrested for putting his 10 month old son in the deep freezer. I just can't believe things like this happen. It may not have been drugs, she may have had postpartum depression. In some people it can cause psychotic thoughts and actions. This should be a lesson to anyone who has children to get help if they are thinking ANYTHING strange about harming themself or their loved ones, unfortunately a lot of people don't think they will do something bad until it's too late. I don't know where our world is headed, but I get more scared everyday.

Sad to say that there are always going to be sick people in this world no matter if they are high or just plain lost it. I recently went on my hometown's newspaper last week and read that a guy's girlfriend was in a jealous rage had went up stairs and slashed his baby's abdomen open with a sharp object (the baby was a week old) then when the father went upstairs to see what happened she threw the baby down the stairs. The baby unfortunately died. I'm not sure what is going to happen with her but I feel that every single person who kills an Innocent child should be put to death immediately and not sitting in jail for 20 years then finally die.

Was she on drugs?
Maybe if she was then the punishment of knowing what she has done will be enough, on the other hand if she did it on purpose I say Burn the Witch!
either way whatever is done to that woman won't bring back that baby, maybe the people should put more effort into preventing this from ever happening again than playing blame games.

This is a sad, sad situation and I sometimes wish I could be like other people and just say kill her or put her in jail for the rest of her life. But I can't, the woman is obviously sick and she needs proper medical care.
I'm with you, I can't even imagine the thought that would lead to this behavior, let alone doing it, but that should give my argument even more support, sick people do sick things.
I hope we come to a time in our lives where we view killing as wrong, no matter what. It's not right if it is in retaliation, it's not right if it is done in war, it's not right if it is premeditated murder such as the death penalty and it is not right if done in the name of religion.
Killing is wrong.

After Turkey day it entered her mind that they are about the same size .And the baby was probably screaming all day .
After birth blues is common but not that bad ,people need to be aware of this and keep an eye out for new moms about that time
and around Christmas ,pay attention to them and not so much the baby .
May God have mercy on her soul

I also just read this story (after reading this question) and yeah it makes you wonder.
Even with the strongest drugs, or as drunk as can be, would any normal person consider such an act? You have to be messed up, whatever you are taking to do something like that.

I read that too. It freaked me out! I can imagine how that poor baby suffered being cooked alive! You know what they will say? It's post-partum depression!! Women are getting away with pure murder by saying oh I was depressed. Like that Andrea Yates who murdered all 5 of her children. I say if you are depressed kill yourself!! Don't kill the child. Problem solved. I'd put that woman in an oven and roast her alive so she can know how the baby felt. That was a horrible slow death.

It sounds like the baby sitter should also be a suspect. It might be her or the mom. Either way there is no death that is bad enough for the person responsible.

How horrible! I believe she should be microwaved as well. To stop the copycats and other abusers, killers and the like. I believe the punishment should be the exact horror that was committed by the criminal! Like! This woman should be Microwaved, rapists should be raped, drunk drivers should be driven over, people who shoot other people should be shot, etc.
