Just like in any election, most registered voters don't show up and a minority determines the outcome. On the other hand, askers will often select an answer that best suits their ideology or feelings on an issue, rather than actually choosing the best answer. So I suppose you need to take it case by case. I prefer when the asker chooses the best answer, because at least then I know they are actually reading the answers. But that's nothing to do with democracy.

i don't possibly care plenty for the main suitable answer on account that I infrequently get one. I too recognize my solutions are not that efficient each so often, so why anticipate the BA anyhow? :] i attempt to grant of what I already recognize. 2 factors are very much too in case you seem at it from a diverse attitude. additionally, there is people who put in links, sizeable paragraphs and the occasional "sturdy good fortune!" on the tip, yet i don't permit that intimidate me (lol), there remains of challenge/wish i might get the BA. No. Questions receive very few votes, and often only a single vote decides the resolution. Not democratic at all!
