Yeah, it's hypocrisy, but you must understand, back then they figured they were the only one's around. Land of the free as though free for themselves as they had liberated themselves from England. That wasn't for anyone else. The whole immigration thing didn't come into play until later, and you know all of the turmoil that many races had to go to to get even close to civilized or equal treatment.

So what happened with the Romans and the Celts, or the Normans and the Saxons or indeed anyone where their technology is more advanced than the others....
The Red Indians were living in the Stone Age in the 19th Century - like it or not - what else the hell is going to happen when you put Rifles against knives, Gatlings against Bows and arrows.?
Bullying, brutal - yes. Hypocrisy - no. Check out your history - it always happens. The Red Indians were just that bit more comprehensively stuffed by the conquerors....

We did thieve their land. even however they have been large to us and did no longer care that we've been there, we saved taking further and added of their land and pushed them into crappy reservations. We gave them the land no person needed. We additionally gave them blankets with small pox on them. Which killed a lot of them for the reason that that they had in no way been uncovered to it and had no immunity for the ailment. There won't have been certainly human rights rules yet there exchange into or could have been human compassion. They helped the settlers who very nearly died off after the 1st wintry climate. pondering how "puritan" the settlers theory they have been, you will think of they might have had extra emotions rather of greed. Understandably those have been circumstances of triumph over and supply to the throne, and the throne exchange into telling them to kill and thieve, yet they might have been plenty extra respectable. consistent with hazard we are no longer at fault now for what occurred then, yet no they do no longer could be thankful for something.

Not unless you think some magical power divined all those who happened to be occupying the Americas in 1492 as the "true" and "moral" owners of those lands.
What is the supreme law of history itself? Change is inevitable. What is the law of war? To the victor goes the spoils.
Many of the tribes of "Native Americans" who were here in the U.S. in the 1400s had systematically killed off other tribes with violence and atrocities far worse than any blow delt by "the White Man." (When I say tribes, I mean whole cultures and societies.) Also, many tribes attempted to manipulate The White Man (sometimes successfully) to beat down their own enemy tribes, only to experience their own downfall. So what makes Native Americans morally or ethically superior to The White Man?
And isn't the proverbial The White Man "suffering" from the very same rule of history (i.e., change is inevitable), as the United States becomes darker and darker as a result of immigration?

The work is not finished yet. What do you think would happen to the Mexican Indians that are coming across the border.Given a choice, the ruling Mexican people would rather let them starve to death. Most of the people controlling the wealth in Mexico are spanish blood.
They kidnapped, raped and had slavery. Gosh just like good ole white people.
I read all the posts.I agree with about 3/4 ths of you all. I t appears only one person used and oldie but goody. We are better than them because they are "savages".

think of it this way.. it was white people who invaded America.. At that time whites saw themselves as a superior race, and controlled most of the world.. whites controlled China, India ( including Pakistan)... sri lanka.. many africain countries...
so in a way, in their mind they were only making proper use of the land and "liberating it for Gods people"... now you may not like the answer but it a fact... and still today a lot white people see themselves as the "master race".. e.g KKK, BNP( uk) and many other political wings in Europe..
But dont forget that whites were not the only ones like this..
think of Japan in world war 2 when they invaded and masaccered the Chinese ( the saw themselves a superior to the Chinese).. ( or the different cast systems in INdia.. i.e the white you are the more upper class you are) the list is endless both from yellow, brown, black and white....

Is called progress. Sad truth of progress in history as a whole. Yes, is a very sad and horrible truth to our great country no question. But, its more of a fact of history as a whole, survival, sure they should have been treated with greater care and I would think ALL Americans wish that could have happened but it didn't and none of us were around to help with that decision.
Just a final note: We are still the greatest country on the planet for those who seek freedom and the pursuit of happiness!!!!

Are you sure about what you are asking? Are you talking about when the Spaniards and Portuguese came to America and almost killed all of the Indians in Mexico and all through Central and South America and burned and destroyed their civilization, rob them of their gold and send it back to their countries or you are just concern with the USA. Are you bias or what. Are you asking about hypocrisy, are you sure?
