I have seen a lady pretty much get debilitated with medical problems while on the depo shot and they ran tons of tests to try to find out what was wrong. It wasn't until I sent her husband several articles about how severe the side effects of depo can be for some people that she finally showed the info to the doc and once they stopped the Depo she was finally able to start feeling better. I would not recommend it to anyone but that is just my own opinion.

I had the most terrible subject matters with the dep. shot. i change into also between the unlucky few who received about 10 pounds at the same time as on it (no i did not stuff my face). when I switched to the I.U.D. I lost the load and the topic matters went away.

I was on it for 2 years, when it was time to go back on the third month, to get it again, I went psycho, and I gain a lot of weight while I was on it. Then I got off of it and I got pregnant right away.

I am an MA and almost every woman that I have given the injection to have gained at least 40 pounds!

I had the shot myself and suffered with various symptoms and had a large weight gain. I only know of one other person to have it and she had the same problems. I never recomend it.

I have had this in the past, I still had my period though, believe it or not. It's good though as you dont need to worry though just make sure youre not late in having follow ups. Every 10 weeks.

I have heard some bad things about it. Personally i wouldnt have it and most people have reccomended me not to.

if this is the shot that makes u not have ur period, it causes ur bones to be very brittle, baddrugg

It was supposed to stop my period but it cause VERY heavy bleeding. I wasn't impressed!

my sister had it and she blew up like a baloon....and it was very hard for her to loose that weight again.
