I am 23 weeks pregnant and my heart rate is just a little over 100 (102-103). It has been like this for the past week. Is this something to worry about? I called my doctor and they do not seem that concerned. My legs and feet are not swelling at all, even when I stand for prolonged periods.

It's normal, suck as it may. Walking up the stairs is a task that leaves my heart racing and me breathing hard.

If it worries you too much, talk to your doctor, but the reason that it's happening is because your blood volume increases 40-50% while you're pregnant, making your heart work harder to get blood to two bodies, not just one.

Congratulations on the pregnancy. :)

There is nothing to worry about. Not unless you'r legs and feet start to swell. Even then, there might not be a reason to worry. Just check you'r blood pressure aften. You can go to CVS or Walgreens and they have those blood pressure things there.

Oh ya. when I get to the docs my heart is racing. I truly might want to climb 4 flights of stairs and that i purely can not capture my breath anymore. at the same time as they examine my heart price its like via the roof. Your heart is continuously operating speedier now by way of being pregnant. Its primary and does no longer worry about it. from time to time my heart looks to race for no reason in any respect. purely area of the being pregnant mysteries.

I thought it was just my wierd body doing this. My heartrate is also very high (I'm 20 weeks along) and I can always feel my heartbeat pulsing strong. I think it might have something to do with the blood production in our bodies.

My pulse is always pounding. All I have to do is stand up and its racing. I have been like that with all 4 of my pregnancies. Your heart has to work harder when pregnant. It is ok.

It's perfectly normal. Your rate will fluctuate somewhat while pregnant so it's nothing to worry about. Congrats on the pregnancy
