I need my old ip adderess from quest and i have switched to comcast do you know any way to get the quest one? I have no files of it.

It is not possible to get your old address back especially since you have switched providers. Each ISP is given a block of addresses that they are allowed to work with as each IP address is unique to each machine, and each IP range can identify a network. So Qwest's IP addresses will only work on their network. You are given an ip address by your ISP (unless you have bought a static address from them) by DHCP. That means their server assigns you an address. So Comcast will give you an address from their block. So even if you had been using a static ip, it would have change with the switch to the new ISP.

Nope not possible.

YOu totally swithced isp. And it sounds like you are on dsl or cable. Once you swithc isp's , you are given a new set of ips. QWest has their own ip allocations and Comcast has their own.
