I am 48 and to me an old spirit is a young person who has wisdom beyond their years.

Basically being an old spirit means that you have wisdom beyond your years. Some people say that it also means that your soul 'remembers', although not consciously, the previous lives you have had. It depends, therefore on who is telling you this. Any good Celt would mean past lives. Any elder would probably mean the former definition. I am 46, per your question, and I am also and 'old spirit' so I can tell you without a doubt, you and I exist!

Having an "old soul" to me means that you listen to old school music, or carry yourself in a more mature and older manner. Maybe you say stuff that isn't what your average teengaer would say or you have different ideas about things. 14 y.o.
