Should I get rid of my myspace?

OK. this is going to sound really small and petty but its really bothering me. I have a facebook profile (its just another myspace site) and I think I want to shut it down. I was sort of pressured to go on it and also I wanted to but the whole thing is driving me insane and making me depressed. I'm the kind of person, who I like everybody and everybody has to like me. So if I have a friend on there I feel like I have to be friends with their friends, and their boyfriends and girlfriends or they'll think I'm a ahole, but then again I don't always know these friends of friends and I worry that I'll get rejected, and I fear that so much. It always bothers me and makes me depressed. Especially sicne one person accepted my friend request one night and then removed me a few hours later and that really bothered me. I've been depressed ever since, paranoid that everybody just hates me. I also worry that people think I'm arrogant because I added so many people in so little time, people i don't think they knew that I knew that well. especially since I'm not really popular, sort of liked I'd say, but not really popular, and I'm friends with some of the people the more popular kids are friends with, like seniors that graduated last year. I've just been paranoid about that, and I'm depressed, and I don't really think taking it down would make me feel any better but I just think then I'd be out of this whole thing. But I mean everybody has one now, and people added me as a friend just yesterday and invited me to be in an internet group and I don't want to be rude and take it down the day after. And a few people seemed happy that i got it just a few days ago. SO what do you think I should do? The main question is should I get rid of it.?

Honey, don't judge your self worth based how many people pay attention to you on myspace. I personally didn't like using Myspace. Most of the folks add you and don't speak to you ever again, unless you message them and sometimes they still don't respond. People are just too busy too socialize with all their 200+ friends. I deleted mine, I felt it was just a virtual popularity contest and I rather interact with people who truly care about me in the real world.

Well if it is causing you so much misery yes. Everyone wants to be accepted and everyone wants to be liked. No one likes to feel rejected or feel like they don't make the grade...that is human nature. But at some point in life you have to realize that no matter how perfect you are there are going to be people out there that don't like you for whatever reason. It could be something stupid or something big, but you have to be able to look at your self and tell yourself that you are a great person and be able to list all of the qualities that make you a good person and a good friend. Now I don't know you personally but we all have qualities that make us unique. Now stop beating yourself up over other peoples opinions and start living your life for yourself. Go Girl!!

Get rid of it. The fewer things to add to the torment of school and popularity contests, the better. If you want to contact someone, there are many other ways. I know it's hard to ignore people that are rude and gossiping about you, or the pressure of fitting in, but just be yourself.
Doing what everyone else is doing is lame.

Don't think that someone hates you because they removed you....I have one, but simply to have one, I do not interact with it in any way, shape or form.

If you feel the need to delete, especially since it has you depressed, I would say yes, to nuke it. No need in letting something like a website make you feel on edge, so in your case I am saying yes. It can cause you to become irritable and not so nice round your friends and family, cause arguments, and cause a lack of concentration if you ponder it.

Good luck in whichever way you decide to go with it.
Come to think of it, I think I will go delete mine now.

No myspace should not be destroyed... dad and mom could pay interest to their infants... i mean truthfully, wtf? If I p.c.. up a CD and it has a parental advisory decal on it and then i verify out the names of the songs and that all of them have stars in them the place the cuss words are... is it the singer's fault that my baby is listening to this? PLEASE human beings! the extra effective question is why do human beings run faraway from duty and anticipate different human beings to take the blame? Myspace isn't a babysitting provider and it is not their job to be certain your infants are risk-free. you're able to ask your self why your baby is on myspace at 14 years old dressed like a whore with photos of her *** putting out of her skirt or bare and protecting her boobs begging for interest.... SO NO! they could no longer do away with myspace. they could start up prosecuting dad and mom for forget because of the fact for sure they do no longer look to be paying interest...

I dont think that you should get rid of it if you dont want to, but you shouldnt be letting it bring you down myspace, facebook whatever you have its all just for fun. If your not having fun with it then maybe you should just get rid of it. I also think that you shouldnt feel pressured to be anyones friend if you know them and want to be thier friend then add them if you dont then deny them dont feel like you have to add any one. On my myspace if I feel like I wont really talk to the person that wants to be my friend I deny them. Dont feel so pressured with this just go with your feelings and have fun with it.
