Manny wants out of Boston, he needs special treatment just to get him to be content there and produce numbers, that treatment hurts the clubhouse and other players.

That is why they are interested in moving him, for the good of the team and Manny himself.

They will only trade him if they get equal value in return. That is Major league or Major league ready talent.

They need to replace his bat, adding J.D Drew will not be enough.

Padres, Giants, Dodgers, Mets, Angels, White Sox are all teams that have been rumoured at one point of the other.

Mets are not, White Sox is highly unlikely, Angels seem to be out of it. Giants have nothing to offer. Dodgers or Padres.

But the Sox need bullpen (closer) and a hitter. Dodgers could fit in here, they have some options in these two areas, don't know if they want to give any of it up..

Plus, the Dodgers need more ex-Red Sox. Grady little, Nomar, Derek Lowe are not nearly enough.

It appears that the Red Sox are very serious. My guess is they are trying to free up some money to pay for this Japanese pitcher. They have been putting Manny out there for 4 years now. If the deal is with the Padres, the only quality player I can think of would be Jake Peavey. Otherwise they are looking at some serious prospects. The other teams I have heard mentioned are the Dodgers, Texans, Giants and Orioles (not sure the Sox would make a deal with someone in the AL east though).

If the Sox sign JD Drew, Manny may go. However, in order to trade him, then Manny has to agree to the trade AND the Sox need to get equal value in return. Whatever happens, it will be interesting to watch. I am a Red Sox fan and admire Manny for all that he has accomplished. If I were running the organization, I would be sure to trade him out of the league where he cannot come back and hurt you during the season. He has a powerful bat!!

Possible teams the Sox could trade him to are the Mariners, Padres, Giants, and Dodgers. If it's to the Mariners, the Sox will want Adrian Gonzalez. There are rumors that Manny will be out by Saturday!!!

I think Manny will most likely end up in Texas. They really want him and will eventually decide to put Young in the package that the Red Sox are asking for. Next season Ortiz will lead the league with 300 walks as there will be no reason to ever pitch to him without Manny protecting him.

Manny has demanded trades for years now, and the Bosox have tried to trade him before, but his contract and the lack of a good deal prevented that. Now with 2 years left on that massive contract of his its easier for a new team to take him on. Now it will be a matter of getting the right deal together for the Red Sox.

i'm a die not difficulty-free pink Sox fan. i'm not bitter in any respect that the Yankees gained; even although that, i ought to have a lot rather have had my Sox win, very comparable to anybody else ought to have loved to confirm their communities win. there is little question that the Yankees bought their thanks to a popularity (as do many giant marketplace communities), yet in simple terms because they spent money would not assure them the call. And extra people hate the Yankees because of their effectual historic past and that is in simple terms yet another excuse people elevate the money issue. I said something different this year from the Yankees. They gave the impression to be having exciting, like little little ones extra. rather A-Rod, he appeared like a baby very last evening. I also beloved that the middle crew of adult men were nonetheless there (Mo, Jeter, Petite, and although that I despise him Posada). I in simple terms desire they nonetheless had my well known Yankee of all Bernie Williams. All in all, i'm kind of satisfied the Yankees gained. i desire it lighting fixtures fixtures an *** lower than the pink Sox's *** and receives them into 2d equipment for next year. i want yet another Sox vs Yanks ALCS. And as for strikes move...i imagine they ought to commerce for Gonzo of the Padres. he's a beast. i have self belief that if we renounce Bay and Beckett and make a commerce for Gonzo they are going to be extra powerful off than signing a pitcher. And if a placing out pitcher is what they are looking for for i ought to commerce for King Felix over Halladay. i ought to also not be adversarial to finding out to purchase and promoting Papelbon. in the experience that they could shop Bard remote from the trades, he's a closer contained in the making, and that i loved how Wagner appeared...
