If you want to use dial-in service you will need an analog modem 56K - V.92. You can get one at just about any computer store.
They come as either a PC card (PCMCIA) or as an external modem with USB connection.
Both types work fine. Choose the one that you like best.

What do you want dial up or broadband?

Dial up you need a 56k modem card (available from more or less anywhere).

Broadband you can get a router (plugs into USB port) or wireless (u need a wireless adaptor to fit in computer - either card or USB)
