Tony blair would just change the law to benefit himself.
Then there would be a new act of parliament preventing anyone from complaining.
As far as i know, the thatcher govt left johm major and subsequently the labour govt the wealthiest britain since the industrial revolution with a world beating economic template, all he had to do was follow the rules,...........
Now brown has given us a 30 billion deficit and an economy built upon the lending of homebuyers.
its doomed to failure, the world economic boom has helped bail brown out for the labour period of govt.all the time tony spends spends spends luring in the voters..
well it looks like its time for history to repeat itself...labour bankrupts the country, the conservatives seize power and dig us out , just when the hard works done,, labour gets in again...when will the left ever learn?

I'm sure Tony will pass a law to ensure it can - if the Lords vote against it he can invoke the Parliament Act and do it anyway, just like he did with Fox Hunting - a divisive and unnecessary waste of government time with so many other priorities - but good for a few more votes eh Tony - that's what it's all about these days isn't it?

The New Labour Party will deny it is bankrupt anyway they're such an arrogant, patronising bunch of inept parasites.

This Shower of Low Life Liars and Charlatans are already "Bankrupt" of any form of Ability to run the country , Integrity and Moral Responsibilty , so even if they were somehow caused to declare the Labour Party - "Bankrupt" - they would Most Probably Increase their Salaries , Expenses , and their Massive Pensions - Massively Increase our Taxes -- Throw a Gigantic Party , at our Expense, all get Pissed and carry on as usual , Lying , Cheating and Non-Stop STEALNG from the Electorate .

They are a company limited by guarantee. There's nothing to stop the parliamentary Labour party from disowning it. The company could be wound up and the party organised in a different way. No-one would ever lend them money again.

if they can bankrupt the people of this country then they can bankrupt themselves....though that might take a little longer bearing in mind the high taxes and ludicrous yearly rises of the tv license that they fleece off us.

They've been morally bankrupt for years and still govern. It wouldn't make much difference if it was financial also.

Financially, no, if such was the case it would invoke a vote of no confidence and the government would have to resign.
