sorry to point it out but rajini kanth is really famous all over the world as compared to Big B. Only north indians know Big B. Even other races watch Rajini Kanth's movies. Take care

Not sure but Rajini has a larger market than BIG B anyway, he is the biggest film star at age beyong 50 yrs in India. RAJINI is the most famous actor of the EAST followed by only Jackie Chan. He has the largest market in the eastern world especially in JAPAN. You can easily see how better actor Rajini is that he is able to maintain the top position in a industry even at such an age which BIG B cannot even dream of.

Had big b has any market in south?the true answer will be "no" by any one . It is because of possesive nature.The north know the talent of rajinikanth and infact jealous of his acheivement.In fact they did not project him properly so that he was a failure in bollywood.It was there hidden agenda not to encourage anyone from south. But rajinikanth managed to win the hearts of people of other races like japan, sa, and even in france (that is why his muthu fight scene is included in a french film )etc.coming to answer this "q" this has to be done by north but they wont come out with truth ,i think.Take this as easy and accept my bow if you feel hurt by this long statement
