there's lots of different birth control methods:

here are a few hormonal methods, these are all prescription.-

birth control pills. she takes them every day at the same time for three weeks, and then allows one week off for her period.

patch. placed on her body for a week at a time, three weeks. then one week off.

nuvaring. kept in her vagina for three weeks, then removed for her period.

shot. she gets a hormone(progesterin) injected directly to her blood. every three months.

those things only prevent pregnancy.

barrier methods, such as the male and female condoms, do not need a prescription (they are over the counter) and the protect against sexually transmitted infections such as HIV. they are 98% effective.
the most useful is the male condom, preferably latex or if you are allergic, you can use polyurethane. the female condom is polyurethane, but sometimes the guy will get excited and miss the hole anyway.
it's not a good idea to use oil based lubricants (like petroleum jelly, lotion, or baby oil) because it causes the latex to deteriorate and break. also, using two condoms ("double bagging it"), or a male and a female condom together is a bad idea becuase the friction between the two will break the condom.

before putting on a condom:

H- make sure there are no HOLES.
E- check the EXPIRATION date.
L- make sure there is LUBE in the package.
L- be sure it is LATEX.

It's a little lengthy, but it's better to be safe than sorry, right?

good luck. & have fun.

in case you had intercourse purely 2 days in the past her cycle became due, possibilities are high very plenty no longer susceptible to be pregnant from that ingredient, even nevertheless, if that became no longer your first time having intercourse, its plausible she have been given pregnant from a prior stumble upon. If she isnt pregnant now, and you dont choose to have a toddler, then the two dont have intercourse untill you're waiting to take resposibility ought to something take place, or proceed utilising a condom AND get her on some birthcontrol. Take a preg try in each and every week.

First of all, Withdrawal does not work so dont count on it. I would suggest condoms, and withdrawal. Pull out before ejaculating into the condom. Also, if she were to go on Birth Control that would help too. They are working on a pill for men but that won't be out until 2010.

Using condoms, she can take the pill, have a IUD fitted use the diaphragm, use spermicides, she could get the depo injection, remember that Sexually transmitted infections also can cause harm but the best thing which is 100% accurate DONT DO IT.

Abstinence is the only 100% way to prevent pregnancy. That said, condoms. Dont rely on her to use birth control pills. Alot of women trap guys like that and end up getting pregnant.
