My first wish would be that our president could step inside the body of one of our soldiers in Iraq and feel every ounce of physical and emotional wounds that soldier has to endure...I want him to look through their eyes and see the bodies and blood of fallen men and women, see the fear in another persons eyes as a gun is raised at them...look out at the desolate country that is far from home. I want him to feel the pain of having to shoot another person...the fear of having another person shoot at him. I understand it is their job and God bless them for accepting it but this war is not ours to fight. Let's see if he believes in this war after coming out from behind that desk. He couldn't even finish one weekend a month in the guard...yet he commands our troops.

My second wish would be that there was some sort of immunity bubble surrounding every child...where no cancer, no hunger, no AIDS, no drunk driver, no hands or fist could reach them. There is nothing more precious in the world than watching a child grow and discover life.

My final wish would be that we all use our imagination. We all imagined if it would have been us in those towers on September 11th...the vulnerability of whether we were next...let us now imagine what it is like to be the farmer who works his fields all night and bring him coffee...let us imagine what it is like to be the woman standing in line with people behind her with not enough money for her groceries and give her a couple of dollars...let us imagine being a child on Christmas with no gifts and not pass the Toys for Tots box without a second glance. Let us imagine that we are all in this together...this time and this world. Each of us different and yet the same.

I'd like enough money to go sailing around the world for the rest of my life. I like sailing more than I like working.

That's it. I don't need the other two wishes...you can have them.

1. Never have to worry about money again. I don't care about being obscenely rich, I just want to be rich enough to insure that neither my parents nor inlaws come and live with us.

2. More time with my family. Related to #1 in that I wouldn't have to work again.

3.60+ acres of nice pasture land so my wife can have her dream of a horse ranch.
