I know you wanted help with electric razors but maybe you should start her off on nair, it's a pretty good product... I use it on my legs and underarms and works just as good as any razor.
If you really want to start her off on a good elec. razor try one by Remington i've found they're the best brands, and you can find a fairly cheap one such as the Remington WSF-1000(personal pref.)

RE:
What is the best electric shaver / razor for a 9 y/o girl??
My daughter is in gymnastics & alot of the other girls are already shaving. I have tried to explain to her to wait but she doesnt want to and really she does have long hair on her legs. So my question is for those mom's or dad's who have already been through this to tell me what is the best...

I'm not a mom or dad, but I have been in gymnastics since I was 6 (I am now 15)and I too started shaving at 9 for obvious reasons. I have always used venus. Don't bother with shaving cream soap works fine. Make sure you show her how. Don't use electric it isn't very good!!!!!

Mabey try Sally Hanson Dipilitory cream first. It comes in a plastic bottle you paste it on and wait about 5 minutes (usually I wait about 3 or 4 minutes longer than the bottle says) and wash it off - the hair does not grow back as thick after 3 uses. I have REALLY senstitive skins and I can use it - I have very hairy legs and I can go a month before using it again.
She will not be cutting herself. Try a little patch on her leg to see if she is allergic to it.

Razors can be really dangerous for young children... I would start her off with nair or another creme hair remover. Even though it smells really bad, it's really easy and works just as well as any razor. I started off on it and moved to a razor.

Im young and I use Nair.Nair works great because it is pain-free, you just apply some on your legs, arms, etc and let it sit, then after a little while(about 7-10, it depends on how thick hair really is)but after then you wipe the Nair off with a damp lukewarm towel, and wa-la, smooth natural looking hot legs. And Nair is sold at alot od places, but one place for sure is Wal Mart.
Hope I helped

Oh, there's a new one out right now. It's pink, and it's battery-operated. And it vibrates. It's excellent. It looks like a normal razor, but you push a button on the end of the handle and it starts and does a great job of clearing the forest, as it were. :)

I don't think I'd encourage shaving instead have her wait until a week or so prior to a competition and take her for a PROFESSIONAL waxing. It costs a little more but it lasts a long time. Get her the first one and have her earn the $$ for subsequent treatments. Professionals can use a cool wax or sugaring treatment that will decrease sensitivity.
