It totally depends on what substance you are talking about. mL is a volume unit, and grams is a mass unit. So, the density of the substance will affect your answer. If you're talking about water (which has a density of 1 g/mL), then 15 grams of water = 15 mL of water. For other substances, it can be very different.

Milliliters (ml) is a measure of volume.
Grams (g) is a measure of mass.
The number of grams per milliliter is dependent on the density (mass per unit volume) of the substance.

You MUST know density. ONLY then you can relate gram which is mass and ml which is volume by the equation,
