To me, poser means people who were meant strike a pose. Superficial and fake feeling.

I always think people actually mean the French poseur when they say poser. The pronounciation is basically the same, but a poseur is "an affected or insincere person." A poser is someone who strikes a pose, e.g., a model or mannequin, or it can also mean a baffling or difficult question.
