Are you making sure that you are shutting it down and not restarting? It is a very common mistake.

What OS are you operating? (e.g., XP, Vista...) Boot into secure mode (urgent F8 at the same time as the notebook boots). when you're able to get into secure Mode: move to the administration panel and then the gadget icon. go with stepped forward Settings and on Settings lower than Startup and restore, un-verify the automatic Restart field and reboot. at the same time as the subsequent reboot occurs, you'll likely get the BSOD (Blue reveal of lack of existence). make an statement of the codes and any messages and deliver me a reply with the files. this can nicely be a Hardware or a application issue (e.g., RAM going undesirable, Video going undesirable, driver illness, and so on.) .

Computer viruses such as the blaster virus are written to reboot your computer without warning. Usually these viruses will make the computer reboot ever 5, 10, 15 or 30 minutes after the computer has booted.

If you believe your computer may be infected with a virus or are uncertain if your computer is infected with a virus make sure your virus scanner definitions are up to date.

It sounds like you may have a virus. I would boot into safe mode and run a virus scan. If you can boot into safe mode I would also try and do a system restore to an earlier date. If that doesn't help or is not the case then I would attempt to do a system repair with the operating systems disk.

oh I see wats going on...

you need to keep tapping F8 on your keyboard and choose SAFE MODE WITH NETWORKING.

Once you get to desktop, right click "Mycomputer" - "Properties" - "Advanced" -

and then under "Startup and Recovery"
click on "Settings"

UNCHECK "Automatically Restart".

"Apply" - "OK".

This is a good indication that your computer has some hardware or software issues... So please make sure you have backup of all important stuff.

If possible, reinstall windows when you get a chance.

Good day now..

If your computer is not working properly while you are working on it, it could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software.
